The Why Factor…from the heart of the Paper Lover!

How many times have you been given a dream or vision and you talk yourself out of doing what you know you were created to do?  How many times have you allowed your own insecurities to run you away from your passion?  How many times have you been given an opportunity and you were too afraid to do it?

I can honestly say…A lot!  I ran away from my dreams, purpose and passion because I lacked confidence.  I had conditioned my mind into thinking that I was not good enough.  I have made excuses upon excuses as to why I didn’t complete an assignment. 

We have all had life experiences that have knocked us off our feet. I know I have.  “Life happens” From the death of my beloved grandmother to the betrayal of a loved one, my heart literally hurt.  Hurt so much until I lost focus on my vision.

That’s why I created the Ultimate Invite.  I am the creative designer’s LOUDEST cheerleader!!! I know how it feels to be insecure. I was once very insecure within my business.  I allowed personal things to affect my professional view. 

I was not strong enough to focus on my strengths, so I felt that I was not good enough. I began to listen the “peanut gallery and the negative noise”.

Until one day I stopped making excuses and focused on finding the solution to my insecurities. That’s when I realized that I’m not only good enough, I actually GREAT at a lot of things.  I gave myself permission to acknowledge my greatness.  I was taught to not boast or brag, but I had re-think that lesson.  I need to brag to myself!  I needed to remind myself that I had accomplished a lot and that I am an AMAZING designer! I am a LOVING mother, a SUPPORTIVE wife, and a LOYAL friend.  I am my parent’s FAVORITE child and GREAT big/little sister.  Notice I didn’t say perfect, because I’m far from perfect. 

I know I was given this task to empower others on their journey. 

So here’s my challenge to you.  Write down your dreams. If you could do anything, what would it be?  What makes you excited to wake up in the morning?  Then put down your pen/pencil/crayon or marker.  Look at your hands.  Why your hands, you ask?  Before EVERYTHING you need in the palm of your hand.  God has given us visions and dreams. If He has given it to you, then He will give you the tools to complete the assignment.  You just have to trust yourself.  Believe in yourself, because I do!
